Coupling of Urban Economic Development and Transportation System: An Urban Agglomeration Case

Urban agglomeration is a new carrier of regional economic development, whose spatial structure can be reflected by the transportation system. The coordination between urban development and system conducive to promoting balanced development. As an important cluster China, Harbin-Changchun plays role in revitalization northeast China. Targeting 11 cities agglomeration, this paper adopts coupling degree model study level results show that large differences exist among cities, with Changchun at outstanding position. A more developed exists western while east worse condition. shows obvious stratification. Further adjusting industrial structure, expanding opening outside world, increasing investment technological innovation are recommended promote integrated pattern agglomeration.
